In recent years, a crop of boutique, female-founded outdoor apparel brands have emerged with one mission: outfit women with technical, functional outerwear, baselayers and outdoor apparel that actually fit their bodies.
Seniq is one such outdoor darling, and its cult-favorite hiking trousers, the Trailmix Cargo Pant, continually sell out.
In my experience as a gear editor, I’ve found them to be the best fitting and most stylish hiking pants yet — every time I wear them on the trail, whether for a casual day hike or multi-day backpacking trip, women stop me and demand to know what I’m wearing and where I got them.
While I initially opted for classic black, I’ve been sorely tempted by the brand’s latest edition: a timeless new navy rendition, accompanied by a matching jacket and shirt.
Seniq launched its first collection in March 2024, with the burgeoning brand’s capable and cute cargo pants quickly becoming a standout thanks to their functional fabrics and incredible fit.
While the pants have been available in a selection of earth-toned hues, Seniq’s Spring 2026 drop introduced a navy hue the brand dubbed “Uniform”.
Instead of opting for traditional pinks and purples, the designers went with the staple shade in an effort to convey the timelessness of its apparel. (Seniq does offer pink in a selection of its line.)
Alongside the navy update to the nylon twill fabric, the pant also features a rust-colored daisy chain flex strap on the cargo pockets and the waist adjustment.
While the look has been updated, the Trailmix Cargo Pant remains the same technical pant that women can’t stop raving about.
The flat-lay, stay in place adjustable waistband, articulated seams, side zip pockets with hidden internal mesh pocket and cinchable bottom hem remain.
In a sea of ill-fitting pants that come in colors women are tired of, Seniq’s take on a classic shade is a breath of fresh air.
The Trailmix Cargo Pant in Uniform debuted on Seniq’s website yesterday, with multiple sizes already selling out. The pant retails for $148.
